Shopping Spree: Love Suzie Jewellery

I first heard about Love Suzie Jewellery when they followed me on Twitter. As is customary with a new tweetie follower I had to check them out to make sure that they were a) an actual person rather than one of these automated nonsense profiles, b) a nice person, and c) someone who wasn't going to spam me with silliness! So after their profile passed my daft little test I had a quick nosey at their website and immediately fell in love with this little guy! (Apologies in advance for the poor picture quality - my camera really dislikes shooting close-ups)

Errol The Owl

I love owls and had been looking for the "right" owl necklace for ages. Errol was perfect! Unfortunately he had sold out when I initially browsed, but the lovely lady from Love Suzie (I'm not sure if Suzie is actually her name, but for the purpose of this blog post I'll possibly pretend that it is!) very kindly said that she'd tweet me when he was back in stock.

True to her word, "Suzie" let me know a couple of weeks later that he was available again and I bought him straight away! I also fell in love with the Wish Me Luck! necklace too... ah well, a girl can never have enough pretty jewellery - right?

Wish Me Luck!

I loved the pretty packaging too!

The customer service was fantastic - in fact "Suzie" is probably the friendliest seller that I've ever dealt with and my parcel was with me within two days of ordering. I don't think it gets much better than that!

For what it's worth, I will definitely buy from Love Suzie again and already have one or two other pretties in mind!

Has anything from Love Suzie caught your eye?

xx

**The Boring Small Print: Love Suzie Jewellery had no prior notification of this blogpost. I have not received any goods or compensation from Love Suzie in return for this review. I purchased the items with my own money and all opinions are my own. There. I think that covers everything!**

I won Rach's Blog Contest!

I've followed Rach's blog for ages now (I'm sure you've seen me mention her name a few times because her blog is FAB and she has become a really good friend), and I know I posted to say that I was one of the three lucky winners of her contest....

.... well, this post is embarrassingly overdue - I'm so sorry Rach! It's been sitting in my drafts folder for weeks - yes, that's weeks. Plural. Patiently waiting for me to shift my bum and take some photos *hangs head in shame*

I won!! I never win anything so I was sooo happy!

Without further ado, here are the beautiful jewellery pieces that Rach made for me - I'd chosen to have a necklace and bracelet but each winner could choose from a necklace and earrings, bracelet and earrings, or necklace and bracelet.

I couldn't believe it when I opened the parcel as Rach had made them in my favourite colours, teal and purple! She'd also included stars on the necklace and purple bracelet - and I love stars too! (Psychic Rach???)

I love this delicate necklace! I've tried to capture how it catches the light.
Silly camera - I need a DSLR in my life!!!

Lots of sparkly beads and teeny-tiny stars!

I love the purples in the matching bracelet, with the stars continuing the theme :)

This bracelet is a wee bit darker in 'real life', a lovely teal green

Regular readers of my blog will know that I love handmade jewellery. I really like the fact that nobody else has the same item and it's lovely knowing that I've had jewellery made especially for me - and that doesn't happen every day!!

Needless to say I was over the moon with my prizes and have worn everything several times since :) I think every girl should own some custom-made jewellery... thanks again Rach!

Do any of you guys love handmade jewellery like I do?

Handmade blogsale goodies!

Earlier this week I was an early bird visiting Lou's blogsale and was lucky enough to be able to buy some of her lovely handmade earrings. Yippee!! (If you get your skates on *I think* there are one or two things left so hurry and click!)

I love handmade jewellery as it's so personal and unique, and there's something very special in the knowledge that it hasn't just been churned off a production line, but someone has actually sat down and put a lot of time and effort into each individual piece.

I have never bought anything from a blog before and I was Lou's first blogsale customer too so that was pretty cool!

Within a couple of days my goodies arrived in a gorgeous little lilac bag filled with lots of ice blue sparkly stars, accompanied by a sweet note from Lou :)

These are the cutest - and most unusual - earrings that I have EVER owned!

Top: Very-Berry Cupcakes
Bottom: Pink Sparkle Popsicles

I always admire and envy those who are able to create jewellery and I certainly would never in-a-month-of-Sundays have been able to make these. The attention to detail is amazing.

If I had a DSLR (grrr, I so want one!) then I would have been able to zoom in better so that you can see. I tried with my basic little Kodak but it ended in a blurry mess. Anyway, I'm sure that you can tell that they are rather fabulous indeed and I'm a very happy lady!

I wore the popsicle earrings yesterday for the first time and it's love :) Today I shall debut the cupcakes! Thank you Lou xxx

Aaaand, last but certainly not least, I'm being completely spoilt lately when it comes to jewellery!

Rach is another talented jewellery maker (is that the correct term, "jewellery maker"?) who held her first blog contest recently. Three contest winners were offered the choice of an amazing TWO items as prizes - earrings and necklace, earrings and bracelet, or necklace and bracelet... and not only that, but winners were also given the choice of colour, style and fastening. How amazing is that?!

I'd never entered a blog contest before so couldn't believe my luck when I was chosen as one of the WINNERS!!!!!!!!

I opted for a necklace and bracelet and cannot wait for them to arrive!! However patience is a virtue as I'm sure Rach is a very busy bee making all of our gorgeous goodies :) Thank you to you too, Rach! xxx

Both Lou and Rach are lovely ladies and I've been following their brilliant blogs for a while now so please check them out!
